Hi, I am Salome (not my real name). Welcome to my Dominican Books Blog.
I have a long relationship with books, books were some of my first toys, and my best friends.. I have never lost my love for books and the printed word. Books give us the opportunity to escape to faraway lands, to meet interesting people, either fictional or real, alive or long-dead. With books we learn, we entertain ourselves, we nourish our soul. If you are joining me now, chances are that you share that same love for books, and that you understand what I am talking about.
Chances are, too, that if you are reading this you have something to do with the Dominican Republic. This is a country with much to share, and one of its least-known secrets are the amazing authors that this country has produced, but also the many subjects that have inspired writers to put pen to paper (or fingertips to keyboard, as the case may) and share their opinion on our country.
I have not read all the books available in the store. I have read a good deal of them though, and I hope that by sharing my opinion with you, you too are inspired to read more about our country and its people.
